BAFTA 2021 Awards.
Progressive Broadcast Hire commissioned me to do a full-page ad in the Scottish Bafta 2021 Awards programme. The image is from their newly installed lens test room.
The primary purpose of the ad was to celebrate the talent in Scottish film and TV and congratulate the evening’s nominees. Then suggest how Progressive can help them achieve even better results in 2022.
Guilt
Guilt is a BBC Scotland drama series where only the strongest liars, bluff merchants, and crooks survive.
This ad presents Progressive Broadcast Hire’s part in the production. It appeared in British Cinematographer magazine.

Vigil
‘Vigil’ is a conspiracy drama set on HMS Vigil, one of Britain’s nuclear
deterrent submarines. This ad presents Progressive Broadcast Hire’s part in the production.
It appeared in British Cinematographer magazine.
Scottish BAFTA awards
This work was for their full-page advert in the Scottish BAFTA awards programme. It was important to stress that they are the only facility based in Scotland. They are independent and not a regional branch of a company based outside Scotland.
The idea was to use the beams from the spotlights to form the flag of Scotland (St. Andrews Cross)
